• Personality: Kikyo is a social kitten and often consider people she knows close to her. She isn't particularly open about some topics but besides those tends to be pretty open, sometimes too much so, to anyone. She has an uncanny ability to focus on many things at once yet at the same time focusing one thing above the others. Under stress, she is quite calm and it takes effort to break her, though it has happened before. Being a Jongwu offshoot of some sort of feline she tends to act like one at certain times, even mewling and purring among a close circle of those around her.

She has a somewhat prevalent drawback she has an inferiority complex shown by either a need of attention or need for validation, in modern times this is rarely shown, but it has found its way out in her past before. She struggles with sleep due to the effects of the Wangdiao Blackout and while she may struggle to get to sleep, once she gets to sleep she rarely moves and sleeps soundly.

Kikyo was “born” simply Kikyo on the formerly Elven planet of Liang (Tai Pan) after the occupation by Tai Pan in 2992 GSC along with her brown-haired twin Misaki. They were both made in an image of humans with traits of some sort of feline, classifying them as a subspecies of Jongwu. This was done in an attempt to allow them to be used as diplomatic entities but the project was shelved by the end of the Third War of Succession. Instead of being placed into a storage environment or even worse a full decommissioning, both Kikyo and Misaki were given a pseudo-citizenship and allowed to live as equivalents of third class citizens.

The two sisters bounced around in employment but never truly found found any callings as the stigma around their class and more so their species. They both took up jobs that were low paying and seedy. Bouncing between public houses and taverns to eventually being in the service of Zǐsè Zhi Ruo, a Taianese Army Major assigned to the colonial medical division assigned to the southern galactic colonies. Ruo ended up becoming a mother figure and was sympathetic when the Wangdiao region declared its independence from Tai Pan and defected herself. This allowed the twins to have a personal life, and allowed them to differ for the first time in their life. No longer was Kikyo a brown haired two second younger twin to Misaki. She was Zǐsè Kikyo, the raven haired Catgirl daughter of a Shouwei Major. In 3009 GSC, she enlisted along with Misaki into the Shouwei in which she was assigned to a detachment in the Topia system, where the small makeshift family lived.

When Wangdaio Colony Blackout occurred and severed the contact between the northern colonies and the central systems, Topia became a warzone. Topia was close enough to the Kowloon and Kotoku systems that a courier ship could be dispatched to bring news and bring back support if needed. This courier ship was the medical cruiser in which Ruo was assigned. The ship took off and almost immediately was shot down with little survivors by a black vessel which then engaged the Shouwei defense fleet in the area. Ruo was declared missing as there was no possibility of a full scale rescue operation as even contacts to the ships up in orbit were offline.

The next few years were stressful on Kikyo. She lost contact with her sister when her division left the Shouwei's base of operations in the system and for almost the entire first two years was under constant saturation bombardment and front assault. This unfortunate seies of events taught her a great many things including to use powered armor in both combat an rescue scenarios, advanced battlefield triage, and how to sleep under such intense shellfire it would make an artillery officer shirk. In the back half when help did make itself known and Topia became the beacon of Admiral Ember Connelly's pullout plan with aid from the Alliance and Tai Pan.

In 3015 GSC, the grand gamble worked. The flotilla of converted warships an bulk freighters lifted an enormous amount of people out of the blackout to the safety of the Kowloon and Kotoku systems. Tai Pan was quick to retake their colonies, but handwaved the central systems of the Wangdiao Colonies, more apt to consider them as they never existed than to acknowledge there may still be people there. Faced with a decision, Kikyo simply hoped that Misaki or Ruo to emerge on the straggling freighters and damaged vessels. Fortunately, an extremely wounded Misaki limped off of the damaged WCS La Lueur and allowed the forged family bond to still have some physical meaning.

Kikyo and her sister held a silent service for their maternal figure, formally taking her name in her honor, and kept a holopicture of her in their apartment in their small apartment in Soran Nast. Their positions in the Shouwei had a method of transferring into the fledgling Solarity of Kowloon Shield of Kowloon. Kikyo opted to continue, while Misaki opted that the Blackout had taken what fighting spirit he had in turn becoming a medical physicians position in the province.

Kikyo's service in the Kowloon Shield started with a simple soldiers position, but her proficiency in the limited power armored assets that the Shouwei's legacy had been able to salvage and bring back with them led her being assigned a personal suit and trained as a more elite soldier. The Black Army incident led her being assigned to multiple provinces fighting the Black Army alongside a handful of Kowlooni Free Companies under the banner of Bhelith Arleigh. It was only after the Black Army's retreat and shortly before the Atraxians invasion of Piyapon and the Kowloon system that she ever actually met her. Her service record impressed someone, as she was assigned to the Lord Empress' Household Guard.

In the absence of the Duchess following her disappearance in Gol Gozan and the Atraixian invasion. Kikyo was once again on the front lines. Her company fought alongside the forces of House Whitemeadow under Aleksasha Whitemeadow and later General Isao Sutauto²⁾ against the invaders. This earned her a title of Ladyship and a promotion within not only the peerage of Kowloon, but the Shield as well. She was assigned head of a company of the absent Lord Empress' household guard and found a full suit of Paladin Armor in her armory along with a massive sword and shield to match.

She found her position to guard the Empress' infant daughter aboard the growing Asteria and as of 3020 GSC is still in this position in charge of a company of Royal Guard.
