Konglong Air Lock

All Kǒnglóng ships are built with airlocks along their hulls. They are designed to allow access to the exterior of the hulls and allow docking with other ships.

Both with in the Air lock and the exterior, there are control pads that allow for opening and closing of the doors, filling or bleeding the atmosphere of the chamber, extension of the docking manifold, and internal scanning for contaminants.

The Lock chamber contains:

• Four rising benches
• Controls for the doors, air pressure systems, and scanners.
• Along the ceiling there are three shower heads that are used to decontaminate room and occupants
• A locker containing:
  • pressure suits
  • Emergency repair kits
  • First Aid Kits
  • Decontamination Scrub outfits

Built out of Aluminum alloys, the external door has an armored hatch that covers it. They will only open to a vacuum if the other door is sealed and locked. Though in cases that the ship is docked and there is atmosphere beyond the second door the over ride can be activated and both doors opened.

Fitting into the hull around the external door, the Docking Manifold folds out creating a bridge. The last ring is designed to be flexible to mold around almost any shape of hatch. This allows for the ship to dock with other factions without issue. Two Docking Manifolds can mate between a pair of Kǒnglóng ships.

In drastic situations the whole of the Airlock bay can be ejected from the ship. It can be used as a way to deny a hostile boarder, or used as an escape pod. Internal systems can allow up for three days of life support.
