The First Children, or Minya hini in Quenya are referenced in the teachings of The Church of the Holy Sword as the original children of the The Word that seeded Jord with life. This is not far from the truth as they were created by the ancient alien race that seeded Jord with life to oversee Jord and created The Word. The people of Jord revere the First Children as Gods. Some believe that the First Children are energy beings that are the souls of the stars that once walked on Jord among the The Second Children (Tatya hini), the third children (Nelya hini) humans and the Embers before they were banished. Saule is imprisoned in the star of Jord System and Mara is imprisoned in the core of Jord.

The actual appearance of the Minya hini is unknown. It is assumed that they made the Tatya hini in their image. The ancient glyphs that depict them show a person in robes holding a large sphere, believed to be Jord. Another interpretation is that the smaller sphere represents the sun as well.
